What’s New

Led and sponsored by CreateHK, the Dubai Expedition took a group of young architecture and interior design professionals selected from HKDC and Hong Kong Institute of Architecture (HKIA) to Dubai, United Arab Emirates for four days (3-7 June) to learn and appreciate of the city design and architectural development. Three design masters, including Mr James Law & Mr Steve Leung (Board Members of HKDC) and Mr Marvin Chen (President of HKIA) accompanied the group and provide advice and guidance to the delegates along the way. With dedicated support and special arrangements made by Mr James Law, a number of architectural and interior design highlights in Dubai and Abu Dhabi were visited by the delegation. A presentation cum networking session was held on 5 June evening at Alserkal Avenue for the participants to mingle with the design counterparts in Dubai.  Most delegates found the expedition a fruitful and inspiring chance to learn the new market opportunities along the along the Belt and Road.
